Iron Tide Command

Iron Tide Command asks you to think several moves ahead, which is rare and welcome on mobile. You build and position fleets across a stylised ocean map, juggling fuel, morale, and the constant threat of an enemy who plays to win. It's slower and more deliberate than most phone strategy games, and that's exactly why we liked it.

The pinch-to-zoom map works well and the game pauses cleanly whenever you tab away, so you can dip in and out during a busy day. Menus are a little dense at first — expect a slow start while you learn what every icon means — but it clicks once you stop rushing. Battery use is reasonable since the graphics stay minimal.

This won't be for everyone. If you want instant gratification, look elsewhere. But if you enjoy quietly plotting a comeback over your morning coffee, Iron Tide Command rewards patience beautifully.
